The City of Edmonds, Washington
Located in south Snohomish County, Edmonds boasts of 5 miles of shoreline on the Puget Sound about 14 miles north of Seattle. What had reached a well estabilshed town at the turn of the 20th century has become a popular urban town while still maintaining the attributes of its historic origins. Edmonds is located on the western facing slopes of the Puget Sound, giving residents and visitors stunning views of the water and Olympic Mountains, beaches, waterfront parks, and a variety of downtown amenities.
Edmonds's population continues to grow. At 40,000 people, it is expected to be 44,000 by 2010. In the past 10 or so years, employement in the city has grown faster than the population and is expected to increase by 3,000 jobs between 1990-2012. Edmonds offers residents a moderate climate, with an average January low of 35.2 degrees and an average July high of 75.2 degrees. Edmonds history can be enjoied at the Edmonds Museum. Residents and visitors also enjoy an edgy downtown that offers designer, classsic, romantic, children's, and travel attire, as well as jewelry and gift shops which offer a variety of unique north western products.
